Dates for 2008
Greg Maxwell is the well known author of "The Complete Chondro" and its updated version "The More Complete Chondro". These books are the most definitive reference for those interested in Chondro breeding and husbandry and an excellent reference for those interested in pythons in general. Greg took time out from his busy schedule in Ohio USA to visit the VHS Expo and be the special gues speaker at the meeting.
Greg Maxwell's first presentation was on Chondro husbandry. For those who have read his books, which provide intricate detail on Chondro husbandry, there was a lot more to be learned from this presentation.
At the end of his presentations Greg spent a lot of time answering questions and signing his books
Greg's second presentation was on Chondro colour morphs. Not only did he mesmorise the audience with beautiful images of Chondros but it also provided a clear insight into how Chondro morphology works. It was a real pleasure to have Greg as guest speaker at the VHS Special Meeting, it was something special that nobody who attended will forget in a hurry. Brian Barnett, who was instrumental in inviting Greg as guest speaker drove him and his entourage to the airport later that day and had this to say: "We had a talk to Greg after the Meeting and I think that I may have embarassed him. In all of my years in attending and presenting herp meetings, I can honestly say that his presentation today was on a par with any guest that I have been associated with over the years. His attitude, flow, knowledge and general presentation left nothing to be desired. His frankness, communication and general outlook on the herpetological scene (particularly in the U.S.A) gave us a general overview of the "Chondro" world and only fired up the lust for these amazing creatures to a new level. Thanks to those that assisted in putting today's special VHS meeting together. Anyone that didn't attend really missed out on something special."
